Preparing for your paint job
I ask that you remove all personal items from furniture to be moved. All furniture will be moved to the middle of the room, wall decor and window treatments will be removed. Furniture and floors are covered with proper drop cloths while painting. After completion, all furniture will be placed back in the proper place and will re-hang wall decorations and window treatments.
Protection of your furniture
Furniture and floors will be covered with plastic for protection.
Do you have to remain home during the painting.
It is at your discretion. I have no problem with painting without the owner home. I am trustworthy and will respect your home as you were there. I usually arrive before you go to work or arrangements can be made to pick a key up ahead of time.
Surface Preparation
Holes are filled and sanded. Stains, crayons, dirt, water and mildew are cleaned and sealed before painting.
Paint used
Sherwin Williams and Benjiman Moore paints will be used unless otherwise specified because they are the most preferred by customers. Paint is only as good as what you pay for. We will determine the best product for you needs.
Picking color and texture of paint
I will provide you with assistance on picking out a color if you have not already done so. We will discuss the use of high gloss, semi gloss, satin, eggshell and flat paint due to your specific needs.
Painting can be expensive
Painting like everything else is expensive. Painting cost are rising due to paying out labor. Paint and supplies have increased. Mileage is also calculated into the overall price. That is why I will work efficiently to finish your painting in a timely fashion.
